22.80%! Large-area polycrystalline solar cell conversion efficiency broke the world record
It was learned from the official website of Artes Sunshine Power Group that Artes Solar Power Group announced on September 17, 2019 that the company's high-efficiency P5 polycrystalline solar cell conversion efficiency reached 22.80%, creating a new big World record for area polycrystalline batteries. The result was certified by the German Hamelin Solar Energy Research Institute (ISFH) in September 2019.
At the same time, this new world record surpasses the world record of 22.28% large-area polycrystalline battery efficiency also created by Artes in April this year.
ISFH Test Certification Report
Dr. Xiaolan Xiao, Chairman and CEO of Artes Solar Power Group, said: “I am very pleased to announce that our team has once again broken the world record! This is an important milestone in the development of Artes P5 polycrystalline technology. At the same time, we also insist on the goal of 'single crystal efficiency, polycrystalline cost' and continuously improve the competitiveness of polycrystalline technology. Artes P5 polycrystalline technology maintains the cost advantage of polycrystalline while converting efficiency compared to shoulder single crystal In the future, we will continue to expand our technology reserves to provide our customers with products that are most competitive in terms of electricity cost."
Artes P5 polycrystalline technology uses a new ingot casting technology. This record-breaking high-efficiency polycrystalline battery uses 157mm x 157mm P5 polysilicon wafers and integrates multiple emitter technologies such as selective emitter, silicon oxide passivation, stacked anti-reflection, aluminum oxide back passivation, and advanced metallization. A new world record for photovoltaic conversion efficiency of 22.80%.
Among them, Artes' proprietary proprietary intellectual property wet black silicon trapping technology is also applied to the battery. This technology further improves the power generation performance of the battery while greatly reducing the front reflectance of the battery. This technology is currently the mainstream process for polycrystalline technology in the industry.
In terms of batteries, by August of this year, all of AT's cell capacity has been upgraded to PERC capacity, achieving 100% PERC.
Around P5 high-efficiency polycrystalline technology, Artes has been developing and commercializing a series of high-efficiency P5 components that incorporate black silicon cell technology and ingot single crystal technology. At present, Artes P5 components have entered the mass production stage.
